We did a BMW Factory Major Service (10K). We installed and serviced new front and rear wheel bearings and seals. The front forks were disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and new seals installed. We cleaned and inspected the carburetors. The front hydraulic brake was flushed. The instruments were cleaned ans serviced. All electrics were inspected and connections were cleaned. We inspected and serviced everything very carefully, making sure all parts were correct, functioned properly, and are in good condition.

The tires and brakes and all rubber parts are in very good condition. The mufflers are solid and undamaged (small ding on the right one). We tested the motor compression, leakdown, and oil pressure; all were found to be very good. The transmission is quiet and shifts properly.

The paint on top of the tank is pretty thin, but mostly still there. There are numerous small scratches in the bodywork, but no physical damage except a couple of very minor dings in both sides of the fuel tank. There are 2 ignition keys, the fuel cap and seat lock do not lock. There is a tool tray, but no tool kit.

This model came equipped with 32mm carburetors (instead of the 40mm ones on most R100 models. This makes the motor put out lots of lower end torque, and makes the bike very fun to ride while still getting much better gas mileage than most BMW 1000cc models do.
