Do not attempt to reuse old gasket. This is a "crush" type gasket that will not seal properly if reused. NEVER attempt to use silicone "RTV" type sealant to glue down the cylinder to stop leaks! Silicone pieces will peel off and float through the oil passages in the block until lodging in the (tiny) crankshaft oil feed passage. This will cause fatal damage to your crankshaft and/or rods. (VERY expensive!!!)
