With this kit you eliminate the points while keeping the mechanical advance unit. This kit also allows you to "adjust out" the dual timing image common on many BMWs of this era, giving you a smoother running engine. Use of this kit or the Dyna Booster is ESSENTIAL on BMWs with Dual Plug conversions! The higher output coils need more energy to function properly. Also, point life would be very poor without it.
